Welcome to the official website of the Russia National Cricket Board! We are a passionate group of cricketers representing the Russian Federation in international cricket.
Cricket Russia, founded in 2004, is the sole governing body of cricket in the Russian Federation. We earned the prestigious endorsement of the International Cricket Council (ICC) as an Affiliate member in 2012, which allowed us to participate in official ICC events. In 2017, we took another significant step forward by becoming an Associate Member.
In 2018, the ICC granted full Twenty20 International (T20I) status to all its members, allowing all Twenty20 matches played between Russia and other ICC Members after 1 January 2019 to be considered as full T20Is.
Over the years, we have continued to grow and develop our cricketing infrastructure, including the formation of the Russian Cricket Federation and 44 regional bodies in 2013. We have also participated in various international cricket tournaments, such as the one hosted by Malta in 2013.
Although cricket was not included in Russia’s list of official sports in 2019, we are pleased to inform you that it was recognized as an official sport in 2020, opening the doors for us to apply for government funding and support.
Our journey has not been without challenges. In 2021, our membership with the ICC was suspended due to non-compliance with the ICC Membership Criteria. Despite being expelled from the ICC in 2022, we remain committed to promoting and developing cricket in Russia.
We invite you to join us on our journey to elevate the sport of cricket in Russia and continue to build a strong and competitive national team. Explore our website to learn more about our team, achievements, and future plans. Together, let’s take Russian cricket to new heights!
